Question

After Install custom Package how i can edit it ????

 Hi All,

I want to clear one confusion you are working on a customize package you did your 90% work completed and remaining 10% you want to do it at home on a different PC so that you export it a archive and upload that package at your personal computer in home .

But when you install this package and open it for edit or add new items it does not allow you to edit or add new item it gives you prompt this is third party package.

I think in bpm only upload a package option is available but no uninstall a package option is but if you want to revert it then what you do ?

Because so many times clients making some changes but after deploy it they required to undo the changes then how we can revert it ??

Regards,

Muhammad Attique

Hello.

We recommend you to complete all changes in a package in one particular environment in order to have it all tested and ready to be deployed in different environments. Moreover, you can always make your website available for the web (if it is an on-site instance), so that you would be able to access it from multiple locations.

Since you are installing the packages with the help of the installed applications section you can remover the packages with the help of the same section.

In case you have multiple developers working on the changes simultaneously we offer the SVN option.

In addition to that, you can unlock the installed package via the sql query. You can check the syspackage table columns in order to find out which values to change in order to unlock the package. Unfortunately, the complete query cannot be provided here for the security reasons.

Moreover, I would like to warn you in advance, that unlocking and modifying the base packages will inevitably damage the system.

Best regards,

Matt
