Use of Parallel Event Gateway on business process

Hello All,

I am trying to create a business process  where I want two parallel flows  to kick off and completes at the same time. I am using the parallel gateway to achieve this scenario. While using them, I can see that two activity Ids were passing through the flow and reach till the end of the process.  I want them to be merged into one and pass it to the next stage. 

Could anyone please refer to any example business process in the base package that uses the parallel gateway to achieve the above scenario?

Attached the business process herewith for your reference. Any inputs and ideas to approach this scenario would be highly appreciated.
