While creating a dashboard , to select any contact / owner , Creatio gives the option to choose contact or current contact . If the same dashboard is to be made available for a specific org role or few org roles  , how can that be configured ?

Hi Team,

Let us have filters and folders on the main dashboard like we have it on section dashboards.  Ref #SR-0966586

We've been using the Calculated Metrics addon for some time now, but just recently, it's started showing the wrong list for the object lookup.

Item 'a' correctly shows just the objects:

Items 'b', 'c', and 'd', however, show what appear to be pages:

If you scroll all the way to the bottom and load the full list, it seems that it might contain both:

But this is both inconvenient and rather unintuitive for our non-technical users, given the inability to distinguish between the identically-named pages and the object itself, as well as the fact that the objects don't initially appear in the list.  Is there any way we can correct the filter on these lookups?

Hi

I wish to have within the Projects Dashboard a list of all activities and separately Project Tasks that are older than today and are not completed. This is straightforward, but means that within the Object selector I just needed to select Activities.

However, I presume because I am in a Project Dashboard and not Activity dashboard, the filters do not work, so I can then filter by one or more of my users.

I have reviewed the settings in advanced filters, but cannot find a way to filter an Activity or a Task Owner within the Project Dashboard. I really do not want to have such information within the Activities Dashboard, as this is data I would like to embed alongside Project data.

thanks

Mark

Hi,

in case if you want to have a list of activities connected to Projects, you should choose the section "Project" in "How to associate with section data" detail as it is shown on the screenshot below:

Also, in case if you want to see all the activities, you just leave that detail blank as it is shown on the second screenshot:

If you have additional questions, please feel free to comment on this. Also, more information and screenshots on your query will be appreciated.

Thank you.

Hi Bohdan

Many thanks for your reply firstly.

Sorry, I should have stated that I had tried the Associate with section data settings, trying all available options within that list; project, id etc.

While some of these have an effect, this effect simply removes all content and does not correctly filter according to the filter applied. I would have expected this to be the correct setting to make this function work, but sadly it does not. At least for me.

Could this be a bug or am I still doing something wrong?

Dear Mark,

There are no bugs related to filtering in the system.

It's hard to solve your issue in terms of Community.

Please email support@creatio.com with more detailed information and with screenshots of your filters so we could help you.

Thank you in advance.

Can you set up a dashboard for portal users such as on the Case Message History object?

Dear Mitch,

Yes, such dashboard can be added, however you should note that Case Message History contains not only portal messages but also emails, system messages and status changes so you should filter records that user should see.

Best regards,

Angela

Is there a way to apply criteria from a saved folder to another folder or dashboard?  I have a few complex queries.  It would be great if, when building a new folder or dashboard, I could just apply the criteria from one or multiple saved folders/filters instead of starting from scratch each time.

Dear Lisa,

You just need to click on the gear icon on the folder http://prntscr.com/q0wsnm and select Copy option. As you see, I've created the same folder with identical filter. As for dashboards, you can either create the copy of the whole dashboard tab http://prntscr.com/q0wt23 or copy 1 element of it through the dashboard designer http://prntscr.com/q0wtc7

Best regards,

Dean

Thanks Dean,

I know about the copy features.  Sometimes I'd like to copy folder or dashboard criteria from one section to another.  It's not possible to do that.  Also, I'd like to copy the criteria from one series in a graph dashboard to another series, or even just a subset of that data.  It's not possible to do that either.  I end up having to recreate the entire query in each series.

It would be nice if we could just save a particular query or apply the criteria from one or multiple folders to a dashboard without selecting the folders. Especially if deploying to other users.

Dear Lisa,

We will register this idea in our R&D team backlog to consider the implementation of such logic in the future application releases.

Best regards,

Dean

Hello Dean, has there been any forward movement on this idea? Also, when looking at this logic it would be great if these dashboard and folders could be available between environments since dashboard aren't able to be created through packages.

Nathan,

Thank you for your question!

I have double-checked this information and currently, there are no updates on the ETA of implementing this feature in Creatio.

We will make sure to provide this information as soon as we acquire it.

Thank you for your understanding!

Regards,

Danyil

Transforming dashboard tabs to waterfall menu consumes a lot of time and effort. However you can try to add a CSS style to the Dashboard section in order to change the tabs to waterfall menu. The example of CSS style is in article by the link below:

https://www.w3schools.com/css/css_dropdowns.asp

Please find the instruction how to apply custom CSS style to the page in the article by the link below:

https://community.creatio.com/articles/how-add-or-edit-css-style

In order to apply CSS style globally please create a replacing client module for BootstrapModulesV2 and add newly created module with style to the dependencies, for example  - https://prnt.sc/qfliuc

It would be quite nice to have a Quarter date grouping option for dashboards (in this menu).

Dear Sunpisces,

Unfortunately, it is not possible to add the custom CSS styles to the dashboards. You can only create the custom widget that will may the  custom CSS styles. More details can be found here https://academy.bpmonline.com/documents/technic-sdk/7-12/adding-custom-dashboard-widget?document=&_ga=2.12020211.678650190.1567427398-650750588.1567427398

We already had similar requests from multiple customers, therefore this possibility will be available in the future application versions only.

Best regards,

Dean

Hi,

On my dashboard reporting I want to create filters that show the data just for the current and on another data series last financial year, so I can clearly see comparisons. I am not seeing how I can achieve this in the filtering options:

Is this possible and if not is this a feature that can be added to allow this, as this is an important metric requirement.

thanks

Mark

Sorry to bump, but being able to create reports aligned to a companies financial year i.e. April to April is important. Can we do this currently and if not can I raise as a feature request?

Dear Mark,

Please use Chart dashboard for such purpose. There you can add several series of data to compare by needed column.

For example I want to display how total value of orders changed per weeks comparing this year and last year. I will add a new dashboard of chart type. There I will apply the following settings:

https://recordit.co/jjGHjVe1KS

The main idea is to use series in Chart type dashboard to achieve the business task.

Regards,

Anastasia
