Hello all!

I try to get a list of all synchronized emails in creatio (for searching, grouping etc.). The standard activity-section doesn't display emails it seems (https://community.creatio.com/questions/email-type-activities-section).

How can I setup a (new) list view to display all email activities or how can i modify the filter in the activities view to also contain all emails?

Thanks,

 Christian

Hello Christian,

You can check this add-on https://marketplace.creatio.com/app/mailbox-section-creatio.

BR,

Jelena

Jelena Nikcevic,

Thank you!

I installed the addon but adding it to my workplace does not work. the section disappears instantly after adding.

Hello Christian,

According to the basic logic of the Activity section, it doesn't contain activities with a  type "email" and "call" in order to not overload activity section with tons of emails/calls.

In case you need to check only one particular email or a few of them, you may simply find this email in the Communication panel.

Also, you may apply changes to the emails with a help of custom business processes or directly in DB.

Alternatively, as mentioned by Jelena, you can use a corresponding marketplace add-on, that lets you manage emails in the pre-configured Mailbox section.

If the installation of the add-on was successful, please try to re-login to the site, clear your browser cache and add the section to a workplace once again.

Best regards,

Anastasiia

Anastasiia Zhuravel,

Yes, I know that the activities section doesn't display emails, that is my original problem.

I also know the communication panel but searching for particular information in emails is still not easy (and I have installed the addon available for searching emails already).

Installation of the mentioned addon was successfull, I always test afterwards in privacy mode so still no success.

Best regards,

 Christian

Hello team,

I would like to monitor the synchronizations of email addresses opening incidents in Creatio.

I would therefore like to create a dashboard indicating for each of the email addresses declared in MailboxForIncidentRegistration the number of emails received per day.

Except that I don't know in which tables the received emails are stored, can someone help me on the subject?

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Dear Vincent,

Thanks for your question.

To display the number of cases registered by email, you may build the dashboard with a filter by Case Source and Case Category that were indicated in lookup "List of mailboxes for case registration".

In case you wish to build the dashboard based on email from which the case was registered, please consider creating a column where the info about emailbox will be recorded and saved.

If additional questions arise, feel free to get back to us.

Best regards,

Anastasiia

Hi!

I want to create a process witch sends emails when the owner of a lead is changed. I have to send the email to the current and the last owner and I have an issue about getting the previous owner.

Do you know how I can get to the previous owner of the led into the process?

I want to mention that the pervious owner can be changed multiple times.

Thank you,

Rares Ivan

Hello Ivan,

In a business process, you cannot know the previous value because a new version has already been saved. So as a workaround you can add a new column and save there an old value when saving an object. After that, you can deal with both new and old values in a business process.

Dear mates,

PDF attachments are not visible on iPhone using Mail app.

Has anyone had this problem ?

How can I correct this problem ?

Email are generate by process: an email activity open on the sender Creatio screen with the file insert as attachment.

We follow this documentation from Ryan Farley:

https://customerfx.com/article/running-a-word-printable-in-a-process-sc…

The attached files appear well on other email clients...

Thank you !

Hello Nicolas,

Since other email clients work as expected - it seems that the issue is limited to iOS and not connected to Creatio specifically.

I tried looking for similar problems on the web. Here is an example, perhaps you have a similar issue:

https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7491137

Best Regards,

Hello,

Patrice from the Nicolas team here.

This issue is not resolved from our side, so i tried to investigate a bit more about it :

I tried sending an email with attachment from Creatio, then read it from an iPhone.

Then sent  an email with same attachment from thunderbird.

The email sent from Creatio do no show the attachment, while the one sent from thunderbird works fine.

Having a look at the email source show some differences around the MIME structure :

the email sent from thunderbird has that structure :

Content-Type: multipart/mixed;

Content-Type: text/plain;

Content-Type: application/pdf;

The email sent from Creatio has that structure :

Content-Type: multipart/related;

Content-Type: multipart/alternative;

Content-Type: text/plain;

Content-Type: application/pdf;

according to that documentation https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/previous-versions/office/developer/ex…

it seems that Creatio should use multipart/mixed as root..

So depending of the email client, the attachment may show or not.

I'm not 100% sure of this as i'm not used to that topic, but maybe it's worth checking ?

Best regards

Patrice

Patrice-ABPost,

Is the issue reproducing only on IOS?

Hello Bogdan,

yes, so far, there is no complains with other  platform..

Hi Sethu Raghav,

This add-on is free. Therefore, no license is required. Please verify that the anonymous service is set up according to the user guide.

Dear, the problem is that the approver MUST be a Creatio User, cannot be "any contact" like a customer, for example

Hi, can anyone help with this,

From what I have discovered and it is not documented, actually this addon is oriented to Creatio users, when they are not connected to Creatio, so they can make an approval.

Any idea how to extend this app to be able to send an approval request to a customer, for a quote, for example?

Thanks

Julio

Hello,

I added a new mailbox to our our Creatio on-prem instance and want to download emails from customized folders.  I've selected this option but no folders are displaying. What could be causing this?

Thank you!

Hi Francine Braese,

Do those folders have access to be shown at CRM end?

Also, did you try to check the inbox for the mail synchronization confirmation?

hi Anas Iyad Ahmad Ibrahim,

The mailbox account addition steps are drilled into a simple process.

1. Set up an APP password for the email account in the corresponding mail service provider.

2. Copy the APP password newly created.

3. When entering the mailbox id, give the password as copied APP.

Please ensure that the Email Listnere is setup if the instance is local environment.

Hi Smit,

In order to work with the Creatio mailbox, the instance should be connected to the Email Listener service.

SETUP: https:/academy.creatio.com/docs/user/on_site_deployment/containerized_components/exchange_listener/email_listener_synchronization_service

Tech Hour: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cwTI8pIa_5g&ab_channel=Creatio

Also, check the mailbox diagnostic tool

BR,

Bhoobalan Palanivelu.

Bhoobalan Palanivelu,

I have run diagnostic tool, I'm Getting these errors.

please advise

smit suthar,

Yes, this is the root cause, the Email Listener Service is not running or the Application doesn't have an access to connect to the deployed micro-service.

BR,

Bhoobalan Palanivelu.

Bhoobalan Palanivelu,

ok well now its working thanks.

Hi, we have created a local smtp server only for sending e-mail.

Is there any way to configure only the SMTP Outgoing mail server ?

In Service Setting Service type is IMAP , if we disable the imap configuration option, it will automatically disable smtp.

Is it possible to configure only the SMTP server on Creatio without filling the imap field?

Best regards

Hello, Antonio!

When you turn on the SMTP setting but turn off the IMAP setting, you can type the value for SMTP, and it will work fine in your case.

Don't pay attention to the fact that the switch is displayed in gray, in fact, it is turned on and you can continue with the setup.

Best regards,

Kate

We're looking for a way to link a document that is loaded into Creatio in an email template that is sent.

For example, a contract is uploaded into the Attachments section of an Opportunity. The Opportunity is won, and a notification email goes out to specified users. The email includes information from the record, but also a link to the document within the Attachments section.

Hello Susan,

Your business task can be achieved via custom business process. You'd need to use [Process file] and [Send email] elements to achieve this business task.

More detailed information about these elements can be found on our Academy:

https://academy.creatio.com/docs/user/bpm_tools/process_elements_refere…

https://academy.creatio.com/docs/7-17/user/bpm_tools/process_elements_r…
