Hello Solem,

The emails on the timeline are only visible to the users, who have access to the 'can read/edit any data' operation permission.

Best regards,

Bogdan

Bogdan,

I saw the option and the Object "Activity" already has the user's role and Create/Edit/Delete are already check.

Hi,

Does Creatio support multilingual communications? That is, is there a way to toggle between different language versions of the same email (english, french)?

thanks,

Hi Khalil!

If you have bulk emails in mind, there is a possibility of adding dynamic content to templates and filling it with the text in different languages based on parameters.

Please refer to the following article on the Academy.

If not, could you please elaborate a bit on your task?

Hello Creatio Team,

What is the Creatio availability verification refered to ? (printscreen below)

How can I fix it ? Is it some sort of extra Configuration? This has only happened in the 8.0.2 version.

Hello,

We see that you have also registered a case directly for our Support team and we are already working on it so we will update you on the problem in that case.

Regards,

Mira

Hi,

we also experience the same problem with an on-premise installation in version 8.0.3.

Is there already a solution available?

Thanks,

Robert

Robert Pordes,

We kindly recommend updating the Email Listener service to resolve the error of verification on the diagnostic page.

Could you provide us with the information on where you deployed for the Email Listener service (Kubernetes or Docker)?

Also you are adding gmail mailbox to the system and it require a few additional steps due to Google security policy.

There are 2 possible ways to add the mailbox to the system:

1. Enable 2-Step Verification for the mailbox, generate the App password from the appropriate Google account and add the mailbox to the system.

2. If you are using Gsuite, you can configure your own app on the Google's side for authorization through the Oauth.

1. Using the App password.

There is a need to perform the below steps:

1) Create a copy of the mailbox provider GMail

2) Disable the system setting with code "UseGoogleSharedApplication"

3) Created password for the external programs on the GMail's side as described here: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/185833?hl=en

4) Use password from p.3 while adding the mailbox with the help of copy of the mailbox provider from p.1.

Login and password for the mailbox will be used inside Creatio system, not GMail.

2. Create your own program on the Gsuite side.

It's a bit more complex variant, as there will be a need to perform the corresponding setting both through Gsuite and in the app.

1. Please perform the setting on the Gsuite's side as described here:

https://academy.creatio.com/docs/user/setup_and_administration/base_integrations/google_mail_contacts_and_calendar/register_with_google_workspace/register_creatio_application_in_gsuite

In p.5 you need to choose "Gmail API" and complete the settings on receiving ClientId and Client Secret.

2. Populate the values for the mailbox provided with the received keys in "OAUTH2.0" type of authorization.

Best regards,

Bogdan

Hi Community!

We have solved this issue, by using the new version of the docker image called emaillistener (bpmonline/emaillistener Tags | Docker Hub)

This has to be changed in the docker-compose file for the ListenerAPI and ListenerWorker service.

Another change is the port mapping for the ListenerAPI. It has to be 10000:8080 instead of 10000:80.

Also, there is an error in the definitions.json file, which is used in the rabbitMQ container. The vhosts part has to look like this:

"vhosts": [
    {
      "name": "/"
    },
    {
      "name": "ELhost"
    }
  ]

I have created a case and Creatio promised to update the academy article accordingly.

BR,

Robert

Hello,

When I send email from Creatio, it appears in Gmail 'Sent' folder.

But when I send email from Gmail, it doesn't appear in Creatio.

Is it possible to configure (or develop) synchronization to see in Creatio emails send from Gmail (or another mail client)?

Thank you!

Have you looked in here?

keith schmitt,

Yes, in both - Incoming and Outgoing

Hello,

Please note that it should synchronize the emails sent from Gmail and something must just not work right. It's better if you register a case for our support team and describe the problem there, as we will need to check the issue more closely and it can't be resolved here on Community.

Best regards,

Mira

Hello,

How is your mailbox configured ?

Did you synchronize the whole email box or only a specific folder ?

Furthermore, is the Exchange Listener micro-service running ?

Are you on a Creatio cloud instance or On-Premise instance ?

Thanks for the clarifications.

Jonathan

Hello! Thank you for your questions

Probably, I've described my case not so precisely.

Our managers sometimes send emails from Creatio. In this case everything works fine - they see these emails in both places - in Creatio and Gmail (as sent items)

But sometimes they send emails to Customer directly from their Gmail (not from Creatio). So, our task is to get these emails as Outgoing to Creatio as well.

We have configured as standard Gmail mailbox.

We synchornize the whole email box. Also tested to work with specific folder - have the same result.

This is in both - Creatio cloud and On-premise.

I am afraid, this is standard functionality, so I am looking for option to improve it.

Thank you!

Hello,

I have a client who frequently uses the email template designer and we have a situation where between two templates the cog-icon in upper right corner of the block acts differently and I dont know why.

In one template the cog, once pressed, opens up the following menu allowing to align the block across the designer to left, center or right:

In another template where I push the same cog-icon I cannot get any menu to show up and I find no other way to align the main block either. All new templates I create also have the same problem of not seeing any menu pop up when pressing the cog-icon.

Do you know what could be the cause of this difference?

All the best,

Per Näsström, Chessit

Hello Per,

I consulted with our R&D team and this is not a mistake, but expected behavior.

It's just that we have two versions of templates in the system (GRID - the old content designer with a drop-down menu on clicking on the button from the case; and MJML - the new content designer on mjml, where clicking on the button activates the panel on the right of the template settings).

From now on - all new templates are opened in the new designer and the template settings panel is opened right away by default, that is why it feels like the button is not working.

Also, please note that template alignment functionality is not available in the new content designer, that's why this menu is missing.

I hope my explanations were useful to you.

Best Regards,

Dan

Hello Dennis, sorry for the very late response. I have conveyed this to the customer and they now understand that all text will be centered in the future due to this new designer.

Thank you for investigating this.

I am attempting to set default Access Rights for new emails (inbound and outbound) for my Sale Department users.  Essentially, I want to ensure that all Sales Department members have Read Access to all emails generated by their department colleagues.

I use the Object Permissions UI page, setting the values for EmailDefRights.  I add my email profile as Record Author under the Use Record Permissions, set User or role who obtains permissions to Sales Department (user group), and check Grant Read access.  When I go to Apply the new setting, and request to change existing records, I get the following error:

"Object reference not set to an instance of an object."

And I cannot even leave the settings page.

What am I doing wrong?

BTW, I also tried this action on the Email message Permission, but nothing seems to happen.

Hi,

it would be great to have reusable blocks that can be referenced in Marketing Emails.

Scenario: The Footer for Marketing Emails changes (new grafics, differnete wording ect). There are several Trigger Emails that are actively used in running campaigns. Since the footer changed with the current functionality every email has to be copied, the element from the footer has to be changed, the running campaign has to be stopped, and in case there are transitions in the campaign that depend on the old trigger email, the whole campaign has to be set up again.

Business value: For companies that are using a lot of campaigns with trigger emails the effort for maintenance would be reduced significantly.

With reusable blocks that are referenceable the change of an element in Emails can be done in the block and the Emails that use the reference are updated automatically.

For reference: SAP Marketing Cloud already offers that feature.

In case you have any questions regarding this please let me know. I would love to see that feature in furture versions.

Hello,

Unfortunately, there is no such functionality in our system to export dashboards.

We have already registered the idea for our R&D team to implement this functionality in further releases. I will assign your case to this project in order to increase its priority.

Thank you,

Artem.

Hi community,

I was wondering on which are the exact functionnalities that the Exchange Listener microservice adds to the system ?

Is it possible to synchronize a mailbox with Exchange, create cases based on the ingoing emails without having the Exchange Listener service on ? I did a diagnostic on a system and it seems that the service is off, however, I can still receive email, synchronize them with Exchange and even send emails from Creatio. How is this even possible ?

Many thanks for the clarification :)

Jonathan

Hello Jonathan,

The synchronization service is required to manage emails in Creatio .NET Framework and .NET Core since version 7.17.2. This article covers the deployment of Exchange Listener synchronization service for Creatio on-site.

Best regards,

Bogdan

Bogdan,

How were the emails managed without the Exchange Listener before the versions 7.17.2 ?

Does your answer mean that after the version 7.17.2, any synchronization with an email service is impossible without having the Exchange Listener Service installed on the environment ?

Many thanks for these clarifications.

Best regards,

Jonathan

Jonathan Quendoz,

There was another application infrastructure before version 7.17.2.

Yes, now the synchronization with an email service is impossible without having the Exchange Listener Service installed on the environment.

Best regards,

Bogdan
